We have the following SharePoint issue.
<o:p> </o:p>
A brief history :<o:p></o:p>
1. We have created a SharePoint 2007(MOSS) site which works on Windows
domain authentication mode. We have also created few SharePoint Workflows on
it. We have built some custom web parts and activities which we have used on
the site and in workflows respectively.
2. We have saved the site as a template(.stp). On another machine we have
created a site with this template. Everything works fine.
3. We now extended this site on internet using Form based authentication
mode. This site was extended on another port.
4. Both the domain and the FBA enabled site work fine on the domain on
which the machine is present.
5. This machine has an external IP and we are accessing the site from
outside with the external IP address only. To do this we have done the
alternate access mappings which maps the external IP to our SharePoint site.
6. After all the above mentioned setup we are able to access the site,
navigate through it and do certain SharePoint list operations through external
IP address.
<o:p> </o:p>
However we are facing few issues as mentioned below:
<o:p> </o:p>
1.On editing a Workflow created task, the task form does not take the correct
URL. For e.g. if the workflow created task is New Task then on editing this
task the URL takes EditForm.aspx instead of NewTask.aspx. Currently we get a
Page Not Found error. If the tasks are opened from within a web part view then
the edit item operation on that task works correctly.
<o:p> </o:p>
URL of the task which is correct
· http://x.x.x.x/Test1/Workflows/WF-1/NewTask.aspx
· http://x.x.x.x/Test1/Workflows/WF-1/EditForm.aspx
<o:p> </o:p>
2.Certain SharePoint functions like modify current view, view task, edit task
etc do not seem to work and give the Page Not Found error.
<o:p> </o:p>
Any help would be appreciated.
