I'm trying to use the ccid 0.2.0 driver with the SCM Micro SCR 335 reader and pcsc-lite 1.2.0 rc2 on Linux SuSE 8.1.
I can get the ATR from my test cards (Starcos SPK 2.3 and Cardos/M4), but not any response APDU.
Depending on the card when I try to select the MF I get 00 81 00 81 or 00 82 00 82 which should be parity error or other communication error.
My questions now are:
- Is the ccid driver in this early version supposed to be able to exchange APDUs with the card? (or just to get the ATR?)
- May it be relevant which test cards are used?
- Has the ccid driver multithreading capability?
- When do you plan to release 0.3.0? :-)
Concerning the multi-reader & multi-threading discussion, in which your last word was to aks for software contributions, please consider the small patch for winscard_msg.c I sent in my Wed Sep 03 2003 - 11:30 mail. I think it could be publicly useful, since without it pcsc-lite is only able to talk to at most 2 readers under heavy load condition.
