My card/reader combination (GemPC430 USB with GemXpresso V3 card) seems to only work with 512 bit keys. When I try to create anything higher it croaks on me. Can I get an official cert for a 512bit key or must it be higher?

I still haven't heard back from anybody about whether key size in the cardedge applet is determined by the card's capabilities or whether cardedge can produce pretty much any key size as long as the card has enough memory to hold it. From my tinkering with XCard II, I can only seem to generate 512 bit keys on my GemXpresso V3 cards, so I'm assuming that the card's key-handling mechanisms are the limiting factor. Am I wrong? I'm sure someone on the list must have the answer. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
