I've found some references that suggest how to solve the problem. http://www.intuit.com/support/quicken/2004/win/574159.html http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q278603 This suggests that the problem occurs when trying to install from a network drive. But the files I am using are on a local drive. I do have network drives mounted. One of the work-arouns suggest that "setup.exe" use the full path to the file, i.e. \\servername\sharename\path_to_files\setup.exe Well, I tried c:\winnt\system32\msiexec /l logme /i "c:\path\to\MUSCLE SETUP" but that didn't work.
