G'day,

The Reflex USB vII contains a firmware which is not supported by any Linux driver that I am aware of per say.
Bummer.
I do believe you can flash the firmware of that reader using some tools from SCM's website to make it look like a CCID reader. Once this is done, you can use the free CCID driver for pcsc-lite.
I've started out with Cyberflex e-gate 32K cards and Reflex USB v.2
readers, but it looks like the Reflex USB v.2 readers may be difficult
to support if they require flashing. I assume the other Reflex readers are well-supported on Linux?
Do a search of the mailing list archives - I somewhat remember someone once giving instructions on how to re-flash the Reflex USB vII.
Had a look through the archives, but couldn't see anything relating to this (the archives for the last few years do not appear to searchable, so I may have easily overlooked the relevent thread).
More generally, I'm trying to add smart-card support for a Linux-based product. I'll be using OpenSSL, and through it PKCS#11, so my understanding is that the PKCS#11 drivers in OpenSC are they way to go. This then leads to pcsc-lite, and the need for the relevent reader driver. Or are there other libraries I can be using to get from OpenSSL/PKCS#11 to a smart-card reader on Linux?
