Thanks for the quick reply.

Hi,

You should be able to export that certificate in ID Ally - double click on it and say "Copy To File".
Next, import that certificate into Mozilla into the Trusted Root Authorities ....

It seems the same certificate cannot be at the same time in the "Your Certificates" and "Authorities" stores (I don't know if this is the correct Mozilla term). I can import it before I install the PKCS#11 module (I dumped from the backup p12 file with openssl), but as soon as I load the module, the certificate from the card is imported in the "Your Certificates" store and disappears from the "Authorities" one. As it is not issued by a trusted authority it's marked as "Invalid" and cannot be used. I guess that is by design.

We will have a new
mailing list for ID Ally as well as a nice new website sometime next week .....

That would be nice.

Can you send output on the formatting failures due to driver transactions ? I'm assuming you wrote
a reader driver for pcscd ?

Yes, I am using pcsc-lite-1.2.9-beta7. I did get a "card not transacted" in the output of pcscd, I think. I was running it foreground debug mode so no logs, unfortunatelly. I will try to reproduce it tomorrow and post the message. Might not be the only reason formatting is failing, though. The driver is still pretty rough.
