Title: Embedded Reader, Driver for Direct Serial Port Connection?

If you use a normal uart other than ISO7816 complaint uart , you will face problem in character repetition of T=0 protocol!

Subject: [Muscle] Embedded Reader, Driver for Direct Serial Port Connection?

Hello,
I apologize if this is somewhat of a newbie question, as I am just beginning to get familiar with the world of SmartCards! I've been browsing the MUSCLE site and looking at the pcsc-lite code and several of the serial based drivers. I'm wondering if a driver exists for an ISO 7816 card directly connected to a serial port (with appropriate level shifting in place of course). Its my impression that the supported serial readers all add a protocol layer between the host and the reader itself to allow the allow the host to configure and control the reader. In my embedded environment I have a serial uart talking directly to a SmartCard and I would like to use pcsc-lite.

I appreciate any pointers or clarifications, if I'm missing something!

Steve
