Hello,
I apologize if this is somewhat of a newbie question, as I am just
beginning to get familiar with the world of SmartCards! I've been
browsing the MUSCLE site and looking at the pcsc-lite code and several
of the serial based drivers. I'm wondering if a driver exists for an ISO
7816 card directly connected to a serial port (with appropriate level
shifting in place of course). Its my impression that the supported
serial readers all add a protocol layer between the host and the reader
itself to allow the allow the host to configure and control the reader.
In my embedded environment I have a serial uart talking directly to a
SmartCard and I would like to use pcsc-lite.
I appreciate any pointers or clarifications, if I'm missing something!
Perhaps you can see the "IFD Handler for the Smart Mouse SM1 RS232"
available here [1]. It is based on the work of the SCTK project [2].
As far as I remember the smartmouse protocol is transparent.
