Thanks for the suggestion Carlos. I initially started out with OpenCT as it claimed support for my card. However, I came across a bug whereby the card and card reader weren't recognised after removal. The bug (although I didn't report it), is detailed here: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/openct/+bug/50393 I also never managed to get a PCSC interface which was usable by GPG working.
