Thanks to your patches, the O2Micro SmartCard reader now works like a
charm. I have been able to read out my Belgian electronic identity (eID)
card easily. (There are not many other applications I can think of
unfortunately.) So don't worry about testing it yourself with your bank
cards or whatever.
Ok, thanks a lot for testing!
For now I'm only testing with my bank card, my sim card and my social
security card but I don't know any program letting me know more than the
ATR information. Do anyone knows some program to really read _inside_
one of those cards, that would prove me that it work really :-)
In the mean time, I've spent some evenings on the driver and fixed quite
a few bugs (some which where introduced while porting it to the new
kernel API, some which had always been there...). I'm also trying to
simplify and beautify the source hoping for kernel inclusion... already
more than 1000 lines removed!
There are still two bugs known:
* backtrace when ejecting the card while pcscd is running
* reader doesn't see the card after a suspend to mem (needs a
eject/insert cycle)
Latest version can be found here: http://pieleric.free.fr/o2scr/
Test reports and patches welcome ;-)
See you,
Eric
