The people that designed both T=0 and T=1 need to be taken to the
woodshed and whupped. Both are overloaded, bloated protocols that
do more to serve the interests of their developers (and the nationality
of their developers!) than they do to further the art and science
of smartcard technology.

Think about all the various reader/protocol stack bugs over the years
because of the design of these stupid protocols. Sure, someone will
come out of the woodwork and say something like: "but they are really
really efficient on my 1-bit, 3-transistor smartcard that I designed
back before the Summer Of Love!", but you know what? Who cares really?

I say flush the protocol sections of ISO-7816 down the toilet and
come up with a protocol that works for the 21st Century.
