At the moment I think java card technologies is a good way.
if physical access applies most of available solutions use mifare chip - it's a little bit weak but so convenient. that means hybrid card, the chip will be used for logical access control.
But I'have a problem, most vendors only sell their door lock with software, useless in my case I want to programm the smart card my self using normal card readers.
the door is connected to a normal card reader ??
Do you know about a door lock system using smart cards which may be programmed?
