Hi,

I've a Gemalto Smart Enterprise Guardian token (reader with a built-in
card). If I could access the reader, I may use the Gemalto supplied
libgemaltodotnetp11_2.1.1-1ubuntu2_amd64.deb PKCS#11 driver.

But the reader fails with
ifdhandler.c:104:IFDHCreateChannelByName() failed
readerfactory.c:1050:RFInitializeReader() Open Port 200001 Failed
(usb:08e6/8000:libhal:/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_8e6_8000_106A1D11163057150508_if0)
readerfactory.c:233:RFAddReader() Smart Enterprise Guardian
(106A1D11163057150508) init failed.
hotplug_libhal.c:397:HPAddDevice() Failed adding USB device:
usb_device_8e6_8000_106A1D11163057150508_if0

It is the same with the Ubuntu provided pcsc-lite-1.5.3 and the
downloaded 1.5.6-svn-4563, too.
The latter uses the same libccid-1.3.11 for two reasons:
  1. I couldn't find how to check out ccid source (from where?)
  2. the downloaded 1.3.11 ccid source fails to compile with 1.5.6-svn-4563:
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/ccid-1.3.11/src'

-fvisibility=hidden -DCCID_VERSION=`./convert_version.pl 1.3.11` -g

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tamás Gulácsi
