What are the minimum requirements for libudev (but touching udev is icky 
historically sue to its been moving way too fast..).

Hmm, I've applied the changes from the git tree of libusb and your 
changes on top of it. You might take a peek, if that's fine with you.

I really hope, that the move from 0.9.3 to ~1.0.9 will not disintegrate 
my systems USB wise. We will see..

The build is underway. Since some scripts are hitting the BS hard ATM 
(about 700 repos awaiting recalcs), it will take some more time :-(
