Dear Music-DSP list,

This is the 2nd Call for Participation for the 13th International Symposium on

CMMR 2017 is organised by the Sound and Music Computing Group at INESC TEC,
the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos (OJM) and AMU-CNRS-PRISM. The theme of CMMR
2017 is Music Technology with Swing.

CMMR will take place at CARA - (Centro de Alto Rendimento Artístico) in
Mastosinhos. It is CARA’s mission to promote the dialogue between art, science
and technology, namely through multidisciplinary projects that aim at the
research and development of solutions for the creation, fruition and
dissemination of creative content. By hosting CMMR at CARA we seek to mirror
these aims by bringing together a diverse and vibrant community of researchers
and musicians that encapsulate the different perspectives of computer music
multidiscplinary research.

The conference includes a scientific programme with oral presentations, posters
and demos. It also features a music programme with daily concerts, including
one by the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos.

The confirmed keynote speakers for CMMR 2017 are:
Peter Vuust (Aarhus University, Denmark), Margaret Schedel (Stony Brook
University, USA), Carlos Guedes (New York University Abu Dhabi, United Arab
Emirates) and Amílcar Cardoso (University of Coimbra, Portugal).

We invite submissions for papers, music, and demos that span the field of
multidisciplinary music research, but especially those aligned with the
conference theme. The full list of topics and further instructions about the
preparation of submissions can be found here:
