Which DVDs to add?
For a bit of real life data on types -
I have ~375 music related DVDs in my collection. The break down is as
follows:
Singles: 133
Music video collections: 74
Live concerts: 72
Musicals: 4
Other (photobook making ofs, image videos, sports festivals, fan club
events, interviews, etc etc.): 73
Mixed content (most are live+other): 19
Sold as part of a bundle with a CD: 70
Sold seperately: 305
I'd personally expect at least the singles and the live concerts to be
added. Probably the video collections and musicals as well. Most of
the mixed content ones have a live component that I know people would
want to add, but how to format them would be an interesting debate.
I should note that the data is a bit skewed, since 230 of those are all
from one company (Up Front Agency and it's various corporate child
entities) with the rest being mainly a mixture of Sony, Avex, and
Toshiba-EMI and the remainder being WMG, Universal, R&C, and various
indie labels. 10 are by non-Japanese artists and 3 are non-Japanese
releases.
