In the 'browser' window, the <select-entry> function will always
attempt to "change directory" if possible. Since the "Sent"
folder is not marked \Noinferiors, this is what Mutt does. Mutt
can't know whether you want to move into that "directory" to
create a new mailbox, or open that mailbox.
What may be needed is a different function that always selects the
mailbox, rather than try to "change directory".
