Yes, that's the behavior. I suggest you put some dprint calls inside
cmd_parse_lsub() and mutt_account_hook(). With your patch, the generated
mailboxes command (inside buf) is
{{{
mailboxes "imaps://user@mailserver/mailbox"
}}}
Inside mutt_account_hook(), you'll see that it tries to match this against
the account hook for imaps://mailserver/ and doesn't match.
I'm going to mark this ticket as "wontfix". If for any reason you
disagree, or wish to pursue this ticket further, please feel free to
reopen the ticket.
