In my opinion, as a non-mutt user, would find that a pity.
Several MUAs at least support and use it, and it, i think, really
helps to reduce noise ratio of double emails in certain standard
configurations of ML subscriptions (if configurable at all).
I think it is one of the (lesser dramatical, but still)
non-understandable (non-)decisions of the IETF to not have
standardized it.
Yeah and i think the other MUAs simply do not care enough, they
keep their users on a low vegetating level, really.  (Except for
maybe Alpine which funnily "heavily knows" USENET Followup-To.)
