Kevin very kindly gave me commit access today. I'll look after the bugs that touch my area of work (I contributed a little relevant code ten years ago).

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to help out so far, including Arnt. I've already received offers from five people, which is far more than I had hoped for. I'll make a more formal announcement later, but to those of you who are still thinking about it, please do contact me.

Would anyone mind if I just go and close a dozen of the issues that don't require changes to Mutt, so that eventually https://gitlab.com/muttmua/mutt/-/issues?sort=created_date&state=opened&first_page_size=100 becomes just issues that need some sort of work?

Yes, sorry the GitLab ticket system is a mess. I've done the bare minimum to address only severe issues the past four years. And many issues, I've left open when I should have just put my foot down and closed them. Please feel free, Arnt. Also, feel free to ping this mailing list for cases where you want a second opinion.
