Try recompiling with slang (configure --with-slang).
Besides, slang worked better for me (ncurses didn't change mutt
resolution on-the-fly as I changed window size, this probably has
something do to with us having an old ncurses lib maybe ?)
Anyway, uname -a gives
SunOS demokrit.fim.ntnu.no 5.5.1 Generic_103641-24 i86pc i386
so it might work for you too.
