No, mutt knows how to encode to quoted-printable or base64, as well as
how to create the MIME headers (Content-Type: and so on) by itself.

Why don't you send us a small file, like a gzipped copy of your .cshrc or
.profile or such, and we'll see how it looks on our end.  Note the
"small" above, please :-)
