Okay, to say it once for everybody: due to some technical problems I wasn't
able to read the fu... ndamental answers. So I dared to post my questions
again. I now have the right answers and it all works just fine, thanks.

I invite you to please just press "d" and delete the fu... ssy msgs.
Optionally, you can tag them before deleting them by pressing "T" and
entering:

~s "umlauts and alternates"<RETURN>

which will allow you to delete them all at once (hit ";d") without looking for
each single one (what I call a nice feature). Try it out, hope that helps.
