Hi,

Assuming that mutt is calling vim as it's editor, then the file that you are
looking for is:

        /usr/share/vim/vim56/syntax/mail.vim

The file you found (/usr/share/vim/vim56/syntax/muttrc.vim) controls syntax
highlighting for muttrc files.
