Hello.

a) My name is Sean Dillon; I am a new subscriber to the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list.

b) I am a self-employed, doing business as sdillon.com.

c) I design and develop applications on a contractual basis for clients
primarily in the manufacturing sector, although I have a fair amount of
experience in environmental data management and order processing.

d) I have three years of java experience, six years of web application
development experience, and fourteen years of Oracle administration and
application development experience.

e) My expectations of the class are to reveal the
significance/importance of struts technologies that I do not currently
employ; namely, tiles and internationalization. I am hoping to get a
crash course in JSTL at the same time, and become motivated to cease
using the soon-to-be-deprecated struts tags (bean, logic). I would also
like to know what the instructor recommends as a design pattern for
interacting with databases, as I have read of several and have used
several in my progression as a java developer.

f) I am a fan of C. S. Lewis, am a musician, and enjoy fly fishing and
offroad motorcycling with my family and friends.

So.... guess I've fulfilled step 1. On to the rest of the lab.

Regards,
