It says it can't find the app context. Did you set the context in servlet.xml as provided in example? Can you get a hello world .html to display in bp?
Send me the server.xml.

Vic, I have tried all kinds of things to get the basicportal context to start without success. I got the Realm working just fine. I can extract basicportal MySQL table contents using a JSP with no problem.
This is the error that I am seeing:
2003-05-30 19:40:17 StandardContext[/bp]: Exception during cleanup after start failed LifecycleException: Container StandardContext[/bp] has not been started at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.stop(StandardContext.java:3865) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.start(StandardContext.java:3843) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostDeployer.start(StandardHostDeployer.java:553) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHost.start(StandardHost.java:925) at org.apache.catalina.servlets.ManagerServlet.start(ManagerServlet.java
