TSAM is Hiring - An opportunity to be part of something BIG!!
TSAM is the backbone of the new cloud computing effort and has a high
level of visibility within IBM. We are currently hiring to accelerate
development of this initiative with release deliverables planned later
this year. There has been an executive decision to accelerate the TSAM
roadmap to capture the cloud market that is growing significantly and
rapidly(from 16,2 billion US$ in 2008 to 42,3 billion US$ in 2010
according to IDC). Tivoli needs to be fast in reacting to the requirements
against TSAM for the cloud initiatives in IBM (Thundercloud, Storage
Cloud, Test Cloud, Developers Cloud, GTS Cloud) so that we do not miss
this market opportunity and can fight our competition effectively. A
roadmap acceleration has been agreed to on all levels up to Al Zollar and
this acceleration includes the addition of a significant number of
resources in India, Krakow and Rome.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a challenging product
development/ test opportunity in a critical project with high WW
visibility. We are looking to fill multiple positions and the requirements
for the same are listed below. The teams will follow the Agile development
process. All positions are Pune based.
TSAM Development Manager
10-14 years of experience in the software development industry
4+ years of software project management experience in a globally
distributed environment
Experience with Agile development methodology
Proven technical and people management skills
Knowledge of the product development life cycle
Strong and proven project management skills
Excellent communication (written/ verbal/ presentation) skills
Strong software design and engineering concepts
Desired: Storage Management and Networking concepts
TSAM Development Lead / Architect (Storage Management)
Minimum 7-8 years of software design/ architecture experience
BE or Masters in Comp Science / Electronics
C++ programming, eclipse development environment and OO Design.
Java programming in J2EE environment (common programming interface,
messaging, transaction, db management etc. through EJBs),
Rational Software Architect tool (including JUnit).
Administrative skills on at least 1 of IBM p-series, x-series, AIX, Linux
Prior experience with the VMWare/ XEN/KVM environment
Strong storage management concepts
Basics of distributed applications architectures and debugging
methodology,
Desired: Maximo base services development
Desired: user-level knowledge of Tivoli Provisioning Manager workflows
Desired: user-level knowledge of Tivoli SRM catalogue function

3-6 years of software development and design experience
BE or Masters in Comp Science / Electronics

Knowledge of multiple test methodology
Automation - Rational Functional Tester (RFT)
coding (JAVA, Scripting)
executing/debugging/analysing results from test automation
Good understanding of Networking , TCP/IP protocol and server/client
applications, VMWARE
Desired: System Administration experience on AIX, p-series)
Desired: Experience with virtual server technologies
TSAM Test Engineer
3-5 years of manual and automated test creation and implementation
experience
BE or Masters in Comp Science / Electronics
Previous test experience on Linux, Unix, Windows
Automation - Rational Functional Tester (RFT)
coding (JAVA, Scripting)
executing/debugging/analysing results from test automation
Good understanding of Networking , TCP/IP protocol and server/client
