Position: IT Assets and Stores Specialist Location: Abu Dhabi Duration: 12 months (Based Location would be Noida) Description This person would be expected to: •Prepare an overall master plan to deploy modern, professional Asset Management and IT stores processes and systems, based on the provision within the BMC SDE project, if this is found to be practical. To regularly report on progress against this plan. •Identify appropriate service levels between the IT Department and their customers, for provision and management of equipment and consumables, preparing internal SLAs to assure this. •Prepare Asset Management and stores processes/procedures for the IT Department •Evaluate the suitability of existing functionality in BMC SDE to support the stores and asset management processes. •Identify key Performance Measures and deploy measurement processes to support the stores and asset management functions •Provide guiding/mentoring for the Stores, Workshop and Technical Support Divisions in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Traiff in deploying the Stores/Asset management processes and systems. •Assist in organizing the operation of IT Stores and the transition to the inventory being maintained by suppliers. •Identify required skill levels within the IT Department and provide Assistance with staff recruitment and training. This is an ongoing assignment at a Government Organization in Abu Dhabi, initially for 12 months, but likely to be extended to 24 months. Qualifications Essential •Bachelors level degree •ITIL Foundation Certificate Preferable •ITIL Practitioners Certificate in Configuration Management or ITIL Managers Certificate Experience Essential •Extensive (3-5 years) experience of IT/Technical stores, IT asset management and associated processes, within a large, geographically disparate organization. •Experience in managing and tracking, optimization, redeployment and reporting of all software licenses; and the tagging, tracking, optimization, and reporting of hardware assets •Exposure to and knowledge of professional asset management and stores products. •Experience of setting up or providing consultancy for the setting up of a significant asset management infrastructure, including technical store. •Practical knowledge of inventory management, and specifically asset management processes •Project management and planning expertise Preferable •Exposure to BMC SDE (asset management functions) •Experience of Project Management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE or similar) •Knowledge of Financial/Costing and/or Reporting Systems •Working knowledge of Accounting processes •Highly refined attention to detail Management/Leadership •Strong interpersonal skills.
