Regularly Interact with customers (onsite / offsite) to understand their requirements at presales and post-sales stages. Should do the initial Business Analysis based on the customer’s requirements and situation of their Infrastructure, Enterprise IT systems, Applications [High Level] etc . Design & Propose the Technical Solution to meet the Customer Requirements to customer satisfaction. Prepare detailed Requirement Specification and co-ordinate with R&D in realizing and delivering these customer requirements. Technical Requirements: Experience in Design and Consulting on Data Center IT (Server, Storage , network layers) Needs to be a Subject Matter Expert on any one area : Storage-Backup-DR or Computing or Virtualization and Data Center Consolidation Experience on Server and Storage of leading vendors Experience on Capacity Planning of Distributed systems – Like Messaging , Configuration Management and Operations Management System Experience on Capacity Planning of popular data base servers like Oracle , SQL Experience on Backup and DR Planning Experience on Server / Storage virtualization Experience of DC Rack layout design at an IT level. Product Certifications from the likes of HP, IBM , VMWare, Microsoft is desired but not mandatory Understanding of various hosting models and tools to provide hosting services by Data Center Operators Experience in creating technical proposals and Bill Of Material for Data Center IT projects Any experience or knowledge on solutions to provide services in cloud will be an added advantage Knowledge or experience of ITIL framework fundamentals is desired but not mandatory Functional Requirements: A total of 4~7 years of experience in IDC Pre-Sales or S.I handled IDC solutions is preferred. Should be highly technical resource, Motivated to learn new technologies at a fast pace. Prior experience on preparing Technical solution and SOC for RFI/RFPs is desirable. Work with Sales Personnel to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities. Participate in workshops, conferences, seminars to support sales and promote the enterprise IDC/ ICT products Responsible for preparing for meetings and tailoring communications to address business needs of potential clients as part of the pre-sales process. Coordinate requirements for proofs of concept, demos with Product Management/Product Development Teams General Ability to interact closely with end customers. Essential Skills required: Rich Pre-sales Experience is required in Servers, Storage, Backup, Virtualization, Hosting & Customer interaction.
