I thought that would be a problem, it really is a rather unyieldy
approach.  I organize my music by artist to get around this.  Also the
latest UPnP logic does a good job of organizing folders

Yes hit the menu key and you can have shuffle play or play all.

But with small playlists/folders it shouldn't be an issue.

It sounds like the problem isn't really the network or mvpmc, it is
the share causing the problme.

That is possible, I've only looked for memory holes in Internet radio
streaming, and I know I can do that for days.

You may want to read a thread I started yesterday in the devel mailing
list.  It could be your hub or switch causing some network
difficulties.

Right now it cannot be disabled, but it is one of the reasons I felt
that large playlist would cause grief.  I think metadata display could
be improved, and I've got some ideas, especially now the displaying
cover art might be possible.
