I thought that would be a problem, it really is a rather unyieldy approach. I organize my music by artist to get around this. You may want to read a thread I started yesterday in the devel mailing list. Can this be turned Right now it cannot be disabled, but it is one of the reasons I felt that large playlist would cause grief. I think metadata display could be improved, and I've got some ideas, especially now the displaying cover art might be possible.
