Frankly. You don't know. It might just as well be a bug.

Round up the usual suspects:
- Version details on mvp and mythbackend. (A bit more exact if possible)
- Logging? Might be anywhere but I happen to have to logs under /var/log/myth
- Exact error:
Start the backend directly so you can see whatever it throws at you on the
console and then try to reproduce the issue. It might tell why.
In general:
Error reports are as usefull as they are sufficient to reproduce the
problem. If you can provide enough details from your setup so someone can
reproduce your environment it may help someone to reproduce the error and
debug it.
