OK, I've submitted a set of patches that fix the viewport behavior.  So if
anyone wants to try adjusting their viewport while in zoom mode, they should
be able to leave their TV in that mode and have the menus, osd, and playback
all behave as expected, without the need to fiddle with the zoom feature of
your TV when going from menu to playback.  I have uploaded a binary of the
dongle as well.  Please see the posts on the -devel list:
