You could do this with some changes, but the only feedback is the http
request for the file.  I think to control the box remotely using
emulation mode would be better.  You get more feedback and you can
even control the mvp's screen.
This is actually being done via one home automation project I've
followed a tiny bit at http://www.myhap.org.uk/
