Thank you Tom and Stuart for your responses. I will try setting up a DHCP 
server on my Mythtv host. I was reluctant and concerned to do that because I 
wasn't sure how the linux box would be able to offer the DHCP lease before my 
router did. Only way to know for sure is to try. I'll report back in a few days.
