These bugs have been fixed in the meantime. Unfortunately they covered up another bug which is related to the pdf toolkit we are using (reportlab). I filed a bugreport at their mailinglist[1]. Since I already got some feedback I am thinking that the bug will be fixed pretty soon.

There were even more issues with preformatted and source nodes. The problems should be fixed. However, some glyphs are still not rendered. I did't investigate that yet, but probably these glyphs are simply missing in the font that I am currently using. Are the missing glyphs (in the PHP PDF for example) mainly from kanji, hiragana or katakana? I am able to find that out myself, but this is a quite tedious job...I guess you can do that significantly faster ;) Or is there no pattern (missing glyphs from all three different scripts)?
