I can't help you setting up the renderserver (b/c I have no clue how to
do it).
But first of all make sure that rendering articles works in principle.
Do this by running mw-render from the command line:
mw-render -w rl -o test.pdf -c http://en.wikipedia.org/w Water
If that works try rendering an article from your wiki. Do this by
replacing URL and articletitle.
mw-render --help
might also be helpful.

I have to use my own renderer, because the wiki is not publicly
available. It would be great, if someone could help me setting up PDF
export either via http or cgi or whatever. Your help's appreciated!
