In my last job, I had an Outlook macro that would take the current
email that you're sitting on (in outlook) and file the message away by
displaying the "File to Folder" dialog box in Outlook. It would then
switch over to MLO and create a new task with the text and hypertext
link of the message in question.
This allowed me to keep my messages filed in a hierarchical filing
system, and let me create tasks that I could prioritize, and quickly
zip from the tasks to the email.
Because Outlook XP (and 2007) have this annoying habit of changing the
OID (Object Identifier), a simple drag-and-drop to MLO and then filing
the email wouldn't work. The order had to be "file", first, and then
"create a hyperlinked task".
I lost the code to do this, so someday when I'm feeling ambitious,
I'll re-code it, or maybe it'll become a feature in MLO....
