I love the how it's coming along! Still needs a bit of work though... After not only trying but also buying everything out there, I am now once again back to plain old Outlook 2007--no addins. Does everything I could ever need.
For MLO to compete, it should AT LEAST be able to do what I have my To- Do Bar in Outlook doing now... I have different lists--grouped by color categories. I can change the category/"context" by drag/drop. I can change the priority level in- cell with the neat little exclamation and down-arrow icons, and I set it up so the priority levels are color-coded. It sorts by priority, but as long as I stay in the same priority level, it lets me rearrange the list order by dragging. I can set up whatever formatting rules I like, which I think you'll soon have in MLO. What you can't do the MLO view that I'd like to be able to is this: +Context1 +Context2 +Projects I love MLO for outlining--it's easily the best program out there for it. The outline/todo, however, is overrated IMO. I'm finally coming to agree with David Allen--you don't really need a detailed outline of all your projects...you just need a list as a reminder. I think I waste more time than anything trying to dissect my Outline in a million different ways. I really just need a collection of lists. I think the ToDo view needs to be a lot more flexible in terms of what you can make it do and how you can make it look in order to make it really worthwhile. Ie: Be able to set it up so the first list in ToDo is leaf tasks with Context A, the second list is all tasks marked as a monthly goal, or whatever other filter settings you choose, etc. I love how MLO's been coming along over the last couple of years!
