Would this satisfy your sorting needs as well (if not better)? Comments from Andrey (on 15-Jan) suggest that he is interested in this feature request and even mulling over implementation options. If this would give you the same outcome as a "custom slider", then I would much prefer the manual sort feature. Like you, I've tried adjusting the order of my To-Do list by manually tweaking the importance and urgency of each task, but I found it to be a difficult and unreliable method. Your proposed custom slider may make it less difficult, but I'm not sure it would help with reliability -- I'm afraid that each time new tasks are added, this custom slider would have to be readjusted for EVERY task, not just the new ones, to get the order you want.
