Dear Eberhard, i´m not sure what you mean by HOW so i´ll briefly answer to anything you could possibly mean:
- The colour coding of the tasks on the top has been done with the Format menu in the Properties Pane. The error that formatting beginns not until the captions column was provoked by dragging the 2 columns contexts and icons left to the column caption. Can anybody please confirm this behaviour? - The indicators (red, blue arrows) in every tasks line are different icons which has been assigned to discrete Importance, Urgency values using the Automatic Formatting options of MLO. - The Menu floating on top and always above MLO goes preety deep and contains much more functions than you would think. Many buttons contain further drop down menus to choose from. See file MLO My Menu.JPG. In this picture you see my defer-submenu (sandclock). There you can push with one click the starttime of the selected task from minutes to months into the future meaning those tasks would leave the To-Do List for the choosen amount of time. BTW Language is German. I have similar menus for choosing Due Dates, Reminders or Imp. & Urg.-Values. Actually the most frequently used operations i´m accessing via the G- Keys of my Logitech G15 Keyboard and therefore are not in the menu. Those would be duplicating the task under mousepointer, toggling 3 of my most important views, choosing from templates (new tasks) and so one. I tried to realise much of the missing functionalities i descriped in my thread "Feature Request: 10 Features" of Jun 9 which sadly nobody ever responded to (or read?). I used Macro Express to do that. This programm performs mouse and keyboard actions to achieve the functions mentioned above. This works in a fraction of an second. Of course you cannot achieve everything with a macro programm. Thank you for your interest.
