If you develop OLM for the BB, you will be the first outline task
application that is native to both the BB and the MS OS desktop as far
as I can tell. Add to that the clean and simple OLM sync with Outlook
and you will have an unparalleled product. There are a lot of BB
business people out there looking for a task outline application if
you search the web for a such a beast. I have been looking for over 3
years now and constantly see posts bemoaning how worthless the task
function is on the BB and are begging for someone to come up with a
product like the Bonzai for the Palm. I owned Bonzai back when I had
a Palm and it was great but Natara looks to have no intention of
developing for the BB. OLM is better anyway but shares the same lack
of a BB app. I also used todomatrix but navigation is just plain
clunky plus I do not want to work off of the web for a desktop version
not to mention it sends intrusive messages regarding access to the
website.

The trouble with BB tasks begins with the worthlessness of the Outlook
task function. Now that I have figured out through the advanced
Outlook Sync feature to sync only the action items on the task list
view, the integration with Outlook is pretty damn good and allows me
to sync those tasks with categories/contexts with the BB. But
navigating and filtering tasks by category on the BB is slow and
visually horrible - it is virtually unusable. I really don't need the
full functionality of the OLM desktop on my BB. I primarily want an
outline view that can expand and collapse - everything else will be
frosting on the cake. I am a project manager and a simple task list
is just too unwieldy.

Most of the iPhone market is made up by consumers using it as a web
toy and competing in that app market will be like shouting across a
packed football stadium to a friend on the other side. Take care of
us in the BB business market. I can't believe you won't be quickly
rewarded for your efforts.
