BlackBerry, PalmPre, Google Andriod, Noika SmartPhones, Windows Mobile and the IPhone - that's six platforms to develop for with a separate code base for each. There is no winning for Andrey in this situation unless he's got 7 development teams.
Rather than try to fill in all the platforms maybe it would easier to provide a web based app - that might also help people who occasionaly have to work from computers that aren't their own. While Andrey's dev team doesn't rival Google's - nonetheless its an example. I use gmail on the IPhone in preference to the IPhone email application.
