So far as I can tell, the only way to *really* do what I'd like is to
use a thumb drive.

What I'd like to do is to move freely between a desktop and a laptop,
using MLO on both, having near-instant synchronization of MLO between
them and regular synch to Outlook. I've explored these solutions:

1. Keep my .ml files in Windows Live Mesh (or Live Sync, or
Dropbox, . . .) folders. But since I can only sync to Outlook from one
machine, I need MLO to always be running on that machine, my desktop.
Unfortunately, it appears that the files don't actually get sync'd if
MLO is open on two machines at once.

2. Set up a master file on the desktop, and sync both machines to that
file. But since MLO sync can't be set up to run on a timed basis like
Outlook sync can (I assume there's a good reason for this), Outlook
doesn't actually get sync'd unless I'm sitting at the desktop and sync
that file to the master.

So I'm back at the simple solution, which I truly hate: a thumb drive.
I lose them a lot.

Or am I missing something?
