I've been using MLO for a couple of years, currently the 2.5.1
version. The reason I chose MLO was originally to be able to run it
both on a PC and on a mobile phone, enabling me to bring my lists and
actions with me wherever I go. The main advantage of MLO is its
flexibility. I started running a GTD based system, and have since
progressed to a combination of GTD with Forster's Autofocus. The great
thing about MLO is it adapts to my needs. I havent used the automatic
prioritization algorithm. I like the ability to set as many contexts
as I need on each task, enabling me to use various sorting principles.
The rapid text entry feature is also great, and the ability to color
text is great, too. I also use it as a reference depository. I'm
certain I'm so used to MLO that I take some great features for granted
and therefore forget to mention them. The able to expand list items
with notes is one such feature. One feature I would like to see added
is some type of password protection so that I could keep sensitive
information in the files.
