Unfortunately, "lock period" seems to only work for the current edit. When I select "lock period", make my changes, and hit OK, the next time I bring up the recurrence dialog lock-period is gone. I'd like to see that changed as well - lock-period should be an attribute of the task.

(You can also see this by clicking lock-period in the date section of the properties pane and selecting different tasks - it stays checked, independent of what is selected.
