I'm sorry, but I still have no idea what you saying. It sounds like you are sorting subtasks in your Outline view, but then you are showing To Do views with both Active and Next Action filters applied with different results. Perhaps if you could show the To Do view screen shots with those views expanded so we could see the actual tasks. Also a screen shot of the Outline showing task detail before and after your sorting of subtasks would be helpful. If you wish your tasks to remain private, perhaps a test Outline with To Views of made- up tasks would illustrate the point you are trying to make.
