Oooh - what an interesting approach - which sort of chimes with some ideas
that I had kicking around in my head which would allow you to see visually
where you were spending time though out the day

And although I haven't had time to look at them in detail,  some of the
other ideas also look very interesting and again fit with the sort of thing
that I would be looking for - for example:

Andrey: for what its worth, I think there are some good ideas here for both
the 'calendar'/planning capabilities and time tracking.

This isn't really a new feature request; I'm just offering something
to think about.
I saw that some sort of time tracking was on the list for the next
major version.  I've used this tool to track my time before and I
though the UI might give you some ideas:
