So how do you order your tasks then?
Computed sort - sort of works for me but probably not as its designers intended. I normally adjust the sliders in the ToDo view to dynamically give the ordering that I want. And if I do this adjustment at the Project level (or sub-project level) this has the advantage of keeping all the tasks for that project/sub-project together in the ToDo list so that I can work on them as a block. You might correctly infer from this that I don't. Although, I do sometimes use it as a low level sort order on a filtered view. My problem is the algorithm reminds me of one of those elaborate Heath Robinson (or Rube Goldberg if you're from the US) machines which display incredible ingenuity but ultimately try to do something far better done by the being that is human. Computers only have the advantage (still) in speed and scale; not cleverness. So the only real application I can see would be if you were using MLO to run something like a ticket system where there were hundreds of equally deserving unrelated "tasks" which were too numerous to review personally and not capable of being easily grouped. What's your setup and why does computed sort mean so much? As I said, just curious. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
