Check on UserVoice, there is something I'm proposing called "Mean Lean
Organization" which is a set of features aimed at working teams and
work groups.

I have to counter the idea that MLO is aimed at single users-- the
cloud service and multiple platform nature of it make it an
outstanding tool for team management. I am using MLO for this purpose
in two different environments.

I whole heartedly agree that this is a critical feature.

I do currently use contexts for this (and for the other user who's
tried everything, you CAN assign multiple contexts to one task), but
there is no enforcement to contexts. In most cases for my tasks, I
have a resource (person expected to do the work) and a stakeholder
(person who wants the work to be done). With a formalized system of
work assignment-->work performance-->performance reporting, about
70-80% of the email in our office could be eliminated.

There are other features necessary for a collaborative environment
(permissions for what's editable by whom, who receives what reminders,
etc.)-- but I strongly feel this is where MLO could be a major
competitor in the space.

The other products that begin to approach this are things like
Microsoft Project (terrible for in-the-moment tasks, collaboration,
etc.) and everything else is either some enterprise planning package
or a To Do list. MLO is the closest thing I'm aware of.
