Take a look here, though I've not actually read through it looks helpful: http://thinkofit.com/webconf/forumsoft.htm I am leaning more toward something like DroidForums.net as MLO grows and I'm less interested in all the threads. Evernote also has a forum but I don't know what software runs it. I use cleverdot for web hosting and have hosted YABB forums there. It gives the option to be very customizable and their hosting is quite reasonably priced. For example will we need a regular > forum if we start using getsatsfaction? I think it is critical for users to be able to develop relationships around the product as we have here, rather than only comment on specific features and communicate with the developer. Talking about how we manage our tasks (use models), how do we access certain features, etc -- that interaction within the user community is in my opinion critical to the momentum, just as critical as communication with the developers. So you need a forum (going back to the previous email) that makes users *feel* connected to each other, through open communication. Take the calendar discussions, for example. If it were only "easy" to tell the developer what features one wanted and envisioned, and not to discuss amongst ourselves how different each person's vision is, complete with tangents etc, the perception would be different. Now I think the perception is, it's quite a sticky problem, but important to address at some point. Otherwise the perception might have been, "the developer doesn't care and is making excuses saying this is too hard." -- Lisa Stroyan www.empathic-parenting.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
